I liked this video, as I do most of the WrestleTalk non-news videos. This is one of my favourites, so I'm going to put it to this thread. What are the worst finishers ever seen in wrestling, in your opinion?
I'm going to do a bottom 10, myself.
Honorable Mention: ObLIVion (Liv Morgan), Final Prayer (Karrion Kross)
10. All nerve holds except the Mandible Claw (in general) - Because fuck nerve holds. I don't give a damn how painful they'd be in real life, they don't look effective. The Tongan Death Grip, Kamala's armpit claw, Mr. Fuji's trapezius pinch, Khali's brain vise...
9. Overdrive (like a million people) - Never has a move been so shit and yet so widespread. Taking a bump on your own knee to maybe hit your opponent a little? Nah.
8. Women's Right (Lacey Evans) - Literally just a punch. At least other users of Literally Just A Punch had legit backgrounds (Marc Mero, Tank Abbott...) or large hands (Big Show). This is just Lacey Evans slowly walking her hand into you.
7. High Knee (The Booty Man) - GET IT???? BECAUSE HEINIE. BECAUSE HE HAS A BACKSIDE. That's the only reason why you'd make a regular knee lift a finish. Somehow a sleeper is one of Ed Leslie's better finishers.
6. Pendulum Splash (Solomon Crowe) - This is what happens when you don't let Sami Callihan do a piledriver. Newsflash: the bouncing off the ropes actually makes the splash look less effective.
5. Noogie of Doom (Sgt. Slaughter) - I had this done to me when I was 12. It was painful. I, however, am not a pro wrestler, to whom this should be meaningless. This was Slaughter's heel finish until he wisely went to the Camel Clutch.
4. Trip to the Batcave (Bastion Booger) - This is a taint drop. He is dropping his taint on to the opponent.
3. Saxtonation (Byron Saxton) - Never have words defied me than trying to describe what the actual move Byron Saxton is attempting is. I genuinely have no idea.
2. Steal Underwear and Roll-Up (Phantasio) - No idea if this was his regular finisher but Phantasio used it to finish 100% of his 1 WWF matches and it's stupid. The bad kind of cartoony.
1. Dress Code (Vito) - This was during Vito's crossdressing gimmick. He'd put his opponent's head under his dress until they tapped. There are no words.
