So... Aldis accidentally 'grammed and deleted that NWA is embarrassing and that he's handed in his notice

HHH should sign him right away and he could be the face of NXT Europe. I mean plus Nick Aldis in WWE NXT would be awesome though I find it more likely he's going to Impact

They've been doing an on-screen feud between him and Corgan the last few months vaguely so I'd be weary of a work tho

Also, yeah no. If it is not a work then I don't blame him. Like I get NWA is trying to be old school and in a way when he was on top he was the example of perhaps the good side of the old school. Carried himself like a champion, was great at talking, can tell a good story in the ring even without flips. But just, the NWA is so rough. After their old school style lost its "What is old is new again" shine it really just felt dated. Even looking at the roster, a good chunk of it feels dated in different ways. Whether some wrestlers feel like old territory jobbers, to old hyper masculine men that are out of shape, people from WWE's mid-card from 2008-2014 who have varying degrees of ability left. And I watched an episode of NWA USA and the presentation was rough. There was a moving screen behind interviews and I felt sick watching it for too long.

I'm pretty sure Aldis has been unhappy in NWA for a while, so which came first? The work or the shoot?

The work, that became a shoot.

And if Aldis is leaving NWA come to IMPACT and give me Aldis v Alexander

That'd be a nice clash of styles. Canadian Strong Style vs a technical story-teller.

It would, but both would tell a great story without having to tell it.

While speaking with the Ten Count, NWA president Billy Corgan gave an update on when the promotion's all-women's Empower event may be returning.

Corgan told the Ten Count that the NWA continues to want to do another Empower pay-per-view and is continuing to have discussions with other companies about working together for the event. Corgan said the NWA won't hold the Empower PPV until it can provide "a world-class event with some of the best professional wrestlers in the world."

The first NWA Empower PPV was held in August 2021 as part of the NWA's 73rd anniversary weekend. But the all-women's event didn't take place this year, with Corgan saying there weren't enough female wrestlers available who could work at the television level.

Corgan received backlash for those comments when he made them back in August. In his new interview with the Ten Count, Corgan addressed potentially creating more controversy with these answers about Empower.

Corgan's full interview on the Ten Count is available to watch below:

Dumb af cause you know he was pushing for Mickie to be used more and Corgan must have shut it down
that came to mind immediately to me as well. She could have retired in NWA and made a big angle and headlined the womens ppv too. assuming Corgan wont do anything now that TK isnt footing the bill
