Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

I'm not reading your response as I was just messing with you.

On a serious note, what do you guys think of Brown, Kobe, Lamar, Pau, and Bynum as a lineup?

You owe me royalties for that one.

It gets Derek Fisher off the freaking floor, so it's an improvement. I'd rather Blake out there more with the starters as a traditional PG who can also play (a little) defense. That lineup just looks like Kobe's going to have the ball all the time, and would probably exacerbate the ball-movement problems they're having right now.

Shannon plays well with Kobe as a catch and shoot guy and slasher. He actually is a 50, 40, and 90 guy when they play together according to FSN. The big problem right now is that no one cuts off the ball besides Kobe or Lamar in the starting group and that is the only way the triangle works. Ireland said Phil told him he wants to run that unit together when Bynum is ready to play bigger minutes because of Lamar's and Shannon's improved shooting.

I'd prefer to see Fish playing SG and Ron playing PF with the second unit next to Barnes and Blake personally as both have played reasonably well. I wouldn't object to a starting group change with Blake, Barnes, and Bynum though if Lamar still insists on coming off the bench.

Charlie talked a gang of shit after their incident, so it will be interesting to see if he backs it up.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

He's bumped into KG in a semi-menacing manner, I guess. He's gotten two fouls in 5 minutes. And he's completely off his game. Yay Charlie!

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

The one two years ago happened in mid-February, and was basically the worst-case scenario. I'm optimistic his season isn't over.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

At least you guys have JO back as well to stem the tide and Perk should be returning. I doubt KG misses another postseason though in all honesty; he may be in pain and not 100% but he will play to make the most of his championship window.

No. JO is not a consolation. I'd rather he got lost on his way to the arena.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

The guy was once a 20 and 10 PF and the anchor to the best defense in the league. He also averaged 17 and 8 to end land season in Miami before hyperextending his knee. He can play.

The only alternative if KG is going to miss two months or so is calling Sheed, who still hasn't turned in his papers.
