A good main event for this week's Impact. These moves weren't anything new, but it was done with a lot of energy.

All the matches at WrestleZone: Battle of the Nations.

The Outfit (Dino/Murphy/Ted O'Keefe) d. Air Myles/Oliver Green/Tommy Raiden
Standard trios stuff with the Outfit playing heels. Raiden's scrawny appearance and lightning theming reminded me of early-career Sean Waltman. He took the fall after he asked for a hot tag but then got wiped out.

Tag Team Championship: The Foundation of the Future (Brad Evans/Ryan Riley) (c) d. Bingo Ballance/Connor Molloy
This was Bingo Ballance's return match. None of the four guys in this mafch were exactly body guys, let's say that. Still good workers, FotF are real powerhouses. Post match, FotF called out the other teams and made a fat joke about Murphy of the Outfit, then the Outfit showed up and cleared them off.

Captain Alan Sterling d. Deacon Matthews
Comedy match. Sterling trashed Deacon for being a dancer, then they had a dance-off (with Sterling looking stupid). Sterling is good at playing the complete buffoon heel.

Blindfold Match: Damien d. Ronan King
Ronan injured Damien's eye on a previous show and this is the natural conclusion. Blindfold matches are way more fun in person than on film, they thrive on audience participation. There was a ref bump so Ronan could cheekily remove his mask and hit his finish, but it didn't get him the win.

Tri-Counties Championship: Caleb Valhalla d. Zach Dynamite (c)
MOTN for me. These two went hard, including a spear to the outside and a Dragon Suplex on a wooden floor (that must destroy your neck). Valhalla reminds me of Sheamus, stylistically speaking. Buff brawly dude, though not much taller than his opponent. And hey, new champ!

Handicap Match: Bryan Tucker d. Umar Mohammed/Mr. WrestleZone
Mr. WZ is wrestler/company owner Scotty Swift, who lost a Loser Leaves match to Tucker and is now doing the Midnight Rider/Charlie Brown/Mr. America bit. Tucker and partner Rhys Dawkins are the only ones not buying it. They came out in detective gear and everyone chanted "wally" at them. Both guys went to the top rope but the venue has a low roof so they got stuck. Finish was an illegal foreign object after Dawkins caused a ref distraction.

Undisputed Championship: Aspen Faith (c) d. Mikkey Vago
Nice main event here. Aspen interacted a lot with a little girl in the crowd who was a hugely enthusiastic fan of his. There was a brawl on the outside and Vago pushed Aspen down a flight of stairs which must hurt. Aspen hit a piledriver on the apron. Finish was called but Vago had his foot on the rope, and a second referee noticed this, which set up a rematch on the next big show. Bit of a flat finish honestly. Really fun event though, wrestling in person just hits different

When Samuray tries to fight back, Sabin stops his offensive flow with a dropkick to his knee. He puts Samurai in a single leg grapevine. Sabin is using unique leg submission moves to keep Samuray on the mat. Sabin backs him up against the corner, drapes Samuray's leg over the second rope and dropkicks his inner thigh.

Sabin looks like he's setting him up for a Russian leg sweep but puts him in a neck crank. When Samuray fights back, Sabin stops him with a DDT. Sabin defeats him with a Cradle Shock. Sabin dominated by stretching Samuray out with wear-down holds and anticipating Samuray's high-flying moves to stop him dead in his tracks.

Team 3D vs. Desi Hit Squad. Impact 1,000th Episode. Bully Ray keeps Champagne Singh grounded with a simple wristlock. Devon tags in, and continues to keep that wristlock cinched on. Team 3D with a double-team neckbreaker on Champagne. Rohit didn't see much action, as his partner is taking the brunt of the punishment. Devon plants a running Champagne with a weak spine buster. Team 3D finishes Champagne off with the Dudley Deathdrop.

Devon was out of shape. They performed their signature moves and made the fans happy. Not much of a match.

Not a bad outing for Hikuleo, as it was his first time participating in the G1 Climax.
