A couple of weeks back Cody Rhodes was the only one that would stand up to Triple H and because of that HHH placed him in a match against the WWE Champion Randy Orton where if Rhodes lost he would be fired. In the end Rhodes did end up losing and was fired. Since then we have had Goldust make an appearance on RAW last week to try to win Cody's job back but he was unsuccessful in his quest. This week on RAW Dusty Rhodes has been invited to the show and Steph has a business proposal for him.

I have really enjoyed this angle so far and it was cool seeing Goldust back in a WWE ring one more time. It worked so well with the storyline as well that he would be given a shot to win his brothers job back. I like how this whole angle is turning into a McMahon vs. Rhodes family storyline and getting Dusty involved this week should provide some more good tv.

The thing is this angle so far, in my view, is making Rhodes into a huge babyface. Yes he had turned earlier this year at MITB but this angle surely has a big payoff and when he returns he will be right in the thick of the action at the top of the card. There is plenty of potential here with this story so hopefully they have something big planned for him when he returns.

My question is where do you think this storyline will lead for Cody Rhodes? When he eventually returns will he be battling it out in mainevents having Daniel Bryan's back or will he be back in the midcard? What are your thoughts on including the rest of the Rhodes family?

*RAW SPOILERS*

So on RAW tonight Dusty Rhodes did indeed appear and Steph presented him with an opportunity. She was willing to hire back either Cody or Goldust but Dusty would have to make that decision. He said that he couldn't so in the end Big Show hit him with the KO punch.

This storyline keeps on giving, really liked the dilemma that Dusty was put in, do you save the son that was unjustly fired or the son that fought so hard to win that other son their spot back. Really liking what they are doing with this angle and can't wait to see what happens next. Will they get Cody's wife to appear to try to get the job back, she was a former WWE ring announcer so she has appeared on screen before.

^ The only issue I have with that is if you were using logic then would it really be such a tough call for Dusty? On the one hand you have a forty something who is past his prime and hasn't been a regular for years against a guy who should still have his prime years ahead him, and has been working hard for the last few years to climb the ladder in WWE. Really Cody has far more to lose than Dustin.

That's the one thing I didn't understand either. Cody has far much more left in the tank so logically you'd choose to have them be hired back. But then Steph went to explain something along the lines of Dusty being the reason Gdust has had so many issues and the perfect way to repay him would be to get him a job doing what he loves.

The angle was very well done on RAW even though Show crying week in and week out is getting old. If done correctly, Cody Rhodes could be huge when he comes back

It's still just the principle of having to pick between both sons. Whichever one you picked would be all "No, it should have been the other!"

Best part of this is Cody getting so over and not even being on TV for it.

Like Chris said, Dusty wasn't going to choose between his two sons. Even though Cody has many more years left in the tank and Goldust has worked with WWE for many more years a parent is rarely going to make that decision and pick a favourite.

Judging from their twitter comments it looks like we might see Goldust back again. Wouldn't mind seeing The Shield vs. the Rhodes family.

They were only part of the show for thirty seconds this week but it was more than enough to progress the storyline. Always like moments like this in wrestling with the surprise attacks. Cody's intensity was awesome, "You touched my father".

Surely this leads to them facing the Shield on PPV.

Potentially the next WWE Tag Team champions? I wouldn't mind Goldust back for a few months to finish off this angle properly and I also wouldn't mind them picking up the tag titles along the way. The end goal has to be putting Cody over a new top face on the show but he and his brother have a score to settle first. This is all so promising for Cody, he is so over as a face now and people are behind him and this angle.

Them capturing the titles would be a pretty cool revenge storyline for them to run with and keep Cody's momentum going.

There was no point in Goldust wearing all black to look inconspicuous when he's wearing fucking facepaint.

I am assuming that was why he was wearing a hoodie and Cody wasn't since he wanted to cover his facepaint. I did find it funny when the commentators were saying that they weren't sure who the other guy was with Goldust. It was always going to be Cody.
