You guys might be right, but I'll believe it when he's not under Center for Week 1 in 2011...assuming 2011 goes on. Actually it could go on with scabs. Favre will definitely be under Center if that's the case.
  2. NFL Regular Season Discussion Thread

Pretty sure Favre will need to be severely injured or killed for him to stop playing. He's the type that can't just move on and do other stuff.
  3. NFL Regular Season Discussion Thread

This happens from time to time. The NFL can't control who is good and who is bad, unless you go for conspiracy theories. The alignment exists the way it does because of region and to keep old rivalries intact. It's the best way really and this situation is just a flaw in the system. It's...
  4. NFL Regular Season Discussion Thread

Great game here tonight. No matter who wins I'd like to see more of this in the playoffs between these two.
  5. NFL Regular Season Discussion Thread

Kevin Gilbride is the OC right? He calls the plays. Coughlin has veto power I suppose. If Eli was any good he also could audible to a run if he could read what the defense is giving him. The Giants are pretty average really. This is about where they should be.
  6. NFL Regular Season Discussion Thread

Packers do suck...even when they win. Jerry Kramer was offsides.
  7. NFL Regular Season Discussion Thread

Giants are going to lose. Hope I'm wrong though. I won't be.
  8. NFL Regular Season Discussion Thread

There are more concussions now than in the past (of course in the past we didn't know what we know now about concussions). Players are bigger, stronger, and faster. The big hits come in the passing game. Physics takes over from there. I'm not saying guys now are tougher or anything, or even...
  9. NFL Regular Season Discussion Thread

How are the Bears overrated? No one thinks they're that good. They aren't making the game softer. It's as rough as it's ever been. It is QB centric though more than it's ever been. I'd rather they not play in a blizzard. I want to be able to see the game.
  10. NFL Regular Season Discussion Thread

Vick is shackled with immense debt currently. Even if he gets a big contract he'll have to pay off his creditors and he owes a shit load of money. I don't remember how much, but he pretty much has to pay around 75% of his earnings for a few years to pay it back.
  11. NFL Regular Season Discussion Thread

Vick still much better on the move but he's been taught the best way to play QB, and most importantly, he believed in it and himself. Remain poised, read the defense, move through your progressions, find the open man. Last resort, if shit breaks down...RUN!
  12. NFL Regular Season Discussion Thread

They're extremely close in stats. Brady has a lesser support cast, but Vick is a double threat. Vick has played less games. Factor in those games he's missed and Vick would have the clear edge. However, he DID miss those games so I think it's almost too close to call. I'd vote Vick because...

I got MJD as the mainstay. The others are LeGarrette Blount and Brian Westbrook. I've been lucky with WRs though, they've outperformed my RBs by far overall.
  14. NFL Regular Season Discussion Thread

What makes Vick such a ridiculous fantasy player is his rushing stats. You get more points from rushing yards and rushing TDs. So it's kinda like having an extra RB on your team some weeks.
  15. NFL Regular Season Discussion Thread

Yeah it's gotta be between them and them alone at this point. We'll see how these last two games play out. Right now I'd have them neck and neck, giving the ever so slight edge to Vick. He's done what he's done in less games. I'm biased though with Vick on my fantasy team.
  16. NFL Regular Season Discussion Thread

Btw, I still can't believe that Eagles comeback yesterday. Greatest comeback in the least amount of time I've ever seen.
  17. NFL Regular Season Discussion Thread

I have no sympathy for him. He chose to keep playing knowing this is an unforgiving, punishing game. I almost admire his toughness, but then I remember all his drama. I love how all the ESPN douchebags say he's doing this for his teammates. Bullshit, he does this for himself. Where was he...
  18. NFL Regular Season Discussion Thread

Yep he's starting. Wonder if his "last" play will be an interception...again. I think I saw Peterson is out though.
  19. NFL Regular Season Discussion Thread

Giants control their destiny too. After that catastrophic collapse today you gotta like GB's chances next week. Absolutely. That tackle was huge. Can't blame Flynn on the 4th down meltdown. That was a coaching snafu.

    Connolly: player of the game.
