Now I know the buzz around is that Smackdown is really weak and are desperate for heels or even guys in general. But if anyone has kept up with the news, Chris Jericho got eliminated from Dancing With The Stars. Jericho should go to SD, despite Raw usually being his home. Jericho could work either face or heel and instantly get ratings up. I expect him to be back by the summer, but rumors have it he could be back Sunday. We should see, but people need to remember that Jericho could fill a huge void.

There is next to no chance of him returning on Sunday, as that would be too spare of the moment, and besides it is a rumour that was created by Jericho in the first place just to work the fans. Summer sounds more realistic to me. But you are right, Jericho could be the perfect guy to carry Smackdown as they try and build new names.

He won't be coming back soon. Fozzy have a European tour beginning at the end of June and going through most of July. He is going to continue with that rather than come back on the road again. If he was going to return it would be close to the end of the year. Smackdown could use him in the short term but they will have to learn to work with what they have.

Yeah like they said, he won't be back soon, but he would definitely be the best option for Smackdown at the moment as someone to lead their brand.

I think Randy Orton is the best option as a leader for smackdown, he's over with the fans, he's a 3rd generation superstar a multi time world & wwe champ. Also may add in mentored in WWE by HHH as a member of Evolution. Later on leading his own group Legacy. So If you ask me Randy Orton is the best to lead smackdown & hold the ship a float.

I wouldn't say there's a problem with Smackdown. Think Orton's gonna ruin it, but that's just my opinion.

TBH Orton can help the show as a heel, as a face not so much in my honest opinion.

Yes I agree. I hate him as a face. He has become so bland so dull and boring. Plus his wrestling is begining to suck.

Orton could save SD, but I think he has gotten too self-serving, and I predict he will over shadow the newer talent too much. Jericho would be much better fit, as he has that star power, is a good personaity, but is also happy to put guys over and work with a wide range of talent. I would be a little suprised if his come back is as late as Troy predicted, just because wrestling is still very much his bread and butter, and this could be a big chance for him. I will go for a Summerslam return for Y2J.

Jericho could very well return on SD but not for a few months. It would make sense for him to return with Orton on top. There first feud never really happened.
