For me, booking is where two guys are put in a match with a defined winner and a loser. Possibly they're given an angle to work with to get a feud going but they're pretty much left to their own devices to decide how to get to where they're going.

Writing is where everything is laid out, beginning to end, including what guys say and when they say it. In this style often promos will be written for a performer, which is why we get bizzare vocabulary or a complete lack of emotion in promos.

What's your opinion?

I see writing as more of a format based booking style. Setting out a set of dominoes, and letting the wrestlers knock them down.

Meanwhile, booking is mostly giving the wrestlers the dominoes and merely directing them as to where they should go.

Generally, bookers do a far better job than writers.

Do you know the difference between Booking and writing.
The main difference between booking and writing is as follows.... Back in the day when someone was booking a territory they would take a heel and a babyface mainly two guys that work well off each other and tell them heres the beginning heres end fill in the middle and it was up to the pro wrestlers not sports entertainers to figure out how to work the angle and draw money from it.

Writing on the other hand is whats wrong with WWE today they have taken the so called wheel out of the drivers hands and everything is scripted down to the letter and it is easily seen every Monday and Tuesday nights it comes off as cheesey and corny most of the time. The matches are geared toward high spots and how much gymnastics a guy can do that makes it come off as rehearsed and stale looking instead of a story being told. That's why guys now cant get over and those that do it seems like if WWE didn't write it that way punishes them and holds them down

Writers are the weights at the feet of wrestling, they've slowly killed wrestling. I get that they help with the load, but it's seriously a terrible gig.
