NEWS & NOTES

After a very successful SummerSlam pay-per-view, many fans are eager to see what will happen on Raw. Especially after new WWE Champion Randy Orton and COO Triple H turned heel. Fans are unsure how the rest of the McMahon family will react and also the fallen Daniel Bryan.

Daniel Bryan's win over John Cena at Summerslam came as a surprise to many in the company, it was debated for many weeks what the outcome for SummerSlam and many though that John Cena would retain. Vince McMahon changed his mind about Cena winning just a week after Bryan was declared the number one contender, as Bryan was receiving such big reactions from the fans at live events, world tours and tv tapings. It was also said that the move was to boost Bryan's merchandise sale. But right at the end just before SummerSlam would start, Vince McMahon came up with an idea which was agreed amongst the board also. This was for Mr Money in the Bank, Randy Orton to cash in his title after Bryan's win and then turn Triple H heel by making him give Orton the win after a Pedigree to Bryan.

John Cena is reported to go under surgery soon which could sideline him out for quite a while. WWE doctors have said that the fluid built up on his elbow was caused by a torn triceps.

WWE and SyFy have managed to finally come to an agreement and have renewed Smackdown's contract by a whole year. Plans of moving Smackdown to 3 hours have been nixed and instead plans of making Smackdown live has been discussed.

Along with the topic of injuries, former WWE & World Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus suffered an injury at last months Money in the Bank pay-per-view where he suffered a torn labrum in his left shoulder. The injury was aggravated since the event. WWE.com reports that the Irish superstar will be having surgery to repair the injury next week, and will be out of action for four to six months. Sheamus commented on the injury on his Twitter, writing: "Well. wwe will be a lot less Cetlic for up to half-a-year, me #MITB shoulder is banjacked... No tears. It's not me drinking arm. Shoulder rehab includes repeatedly lifting a 1lb weight OR 16 fluid ounces. A pint of Guinness is 16oz. An Irish cure wweDocSampson?".

Right now, it is unclear what direction WWE are going in with relation to the CM Punk and Brock Lesnar feud, after Paul Heyman interferred in the No DQ Match thus distracting CM Punk. Brock Lesnar took advantage and hit Punk with a F-5 on a steel chair for the win. There are no plans for Lesnar to appear on Raw but it's been reported by many websites that the feud hasn't ended yet. Punk along with Intercontinental Champion, Curtis Axel and manager Paul Heyman have been advertised for the upcoming Raw.

Kane, after being kidnapped at end of the Ring of Fire match against Bray Wyatt, is also expected to be gone for at least two - three months to allow time for the filming of See No Evil 2. Kane is reprising his role as Jacob Goodnight.

With a number of talent going off screen for a while, expect to see more talent from NXT being called up in the upcoming months.

Finally WWE recently released NXT talent Dante Dash. Dash had signed with WWE Developmental in late 2011. WWE wish him the best in his future endeavors. Along with Dash, WWE has released Garrett Dylan, real name Jody Kristofferson and son of actor Kris Kristofferson, from his developmental deal. According to F4WOnline.com, the release did not come as a surprise as officials felt Dylan had average wrestling skills despite being passionate about the business.

NXT NEWS

For fans of Chris Hero/Kassius Ohno many have been wondering why he's not made the main roster yet, the answer may be in his work ethic in the gym. Rumors have previously floated around about his physique being the main hold-up to him advancing. The latest word is that he's not working to scale that hurdle. According to WrestlingInc.com, "Ohno seemed reluctant in the weightlifting and gym sessions, although he continued to receive high marks for his overall attitude and the great effort in his daily in-ring sessions. He was removed from some TV tapings after word got back to Triple H that he skipped gym time." Chances are we'll find out more about this tension if it continues to build. WWE are reportedly working on this issue with Ohno and hope his attitude changes so he can soon be called up.

NXT's fringe Superstars could soon be on the way out, as WWE is set to have a tryout camp that includes some big names from the independent circuit. On WrestlingInc.com it was written "Word is that Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards and Midwest indy wrestler Prince Mustafa Ali will be attending the WWE tryout camp at the end of this month." Edwards and Richards have been tag team champions together in Ring of Honor and both would be great pickups for WWE. Davey Richards was named Most Outstanding Wrestler by Wrestling Observer in 2011. He is around Daniel Bryan's size but stronger with an intensity that will burn on screen. Edwards is a fine performer as well, excelling as either Richards' rival or partner. The pair were known as The American Wolves during their run in ROH.

Paige fans may not have to wait much longer for the first-ever NXT women's champ to be on the main roster. Various websites, including Diva-Dirt.com, have speculated that a recent TOUT video by Paul Heyman is him hinting that his newest client would be Paige herself. The video is no longer up on the NXT TOUT page, but the rumor mill has already gained momentum aplenty. With her age being a reported key factor holding her back from landing on the main roster, we could see her wrestling in the main event soon, Paul Heyman girl or not.

Finally catching up with this now. So are you taking the current WWE set up and then taking it in your own direction post SummerSlam? Will be fun seeing how you decide to book the shows going forward compared to what WWE actually do. You have a huge roster and with two shows it will be a lot of work but I am looking forward to reading it. Will you be doing two shows a week?

Reading through your news and I like that you didn't extend Smackdown to three hours and are looking at going live. I also like the sound of some new NXT talent being promoted to the main roster due to all the injuries on the main roster. There is plenty of talent down there so I can't wait to see who gets the nod.

Good luck!

19th August, 2013

We start with a video package from Summerslam. It starts with Brock Lesnar and CM Punk fighting in the ring, both in a lot of pain. Lesnar takes the advantage of Punk as his manager Paul Heyman smiles on. The tables then turn as CM Punk regains control after hitting a diving elbow drop from the top of the announcers table. We then see Lesnar destroyed in the corner, then we go to Punk hitting Lesnar with a huge GTS! The referee begins to count 1...2...NO! Paul Heyman saves Lesnar by breaking the pin. It then cuts to Lesnar hitting Punk with a F-5 right on the steel chair for the win. Punk gets up after his loss as Heyman is slowly making his way up the ramp in pain with Paul Heyman. It then shows John Cena vs Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship with Triple H as the Special Guest Referee. Both begin to put on a hell of match, Daniel Bryan kicks out on AA by Cena. Then Bryan hits Cena with a running knee as Triple H counts the pin 1...2...3! The crowd start to chant YES! as confetti begins to come out. Bryan's hand is raised up by Triple H before I Hear Voices In My Head is heard. Bryan gets ready as Randy Orton starts to run down the ramp, Orton then stops before he gets in the ring and stares at Bryan. Then suddenly Triple H hits Bryan with a Pedigree! Orton comes in the bell rings, Orton goes for the pin 1...2...3! Randy Orton is a seven time WWE Champion! The package then ends with a shot of Triple H lifting up the hand of the new WWE Champion, Randy Orton!

We then go to the arena as Michael Cole welcomes us to Monday Night Raw! ''My Time Is Now'' hits as the arena fills with boos. John Cena salutes the crowd before charging in the ring. Once he's in the ring he takes a moment to soak in the all too familiar mixed reaction. Cena says he's not pleased on what happened at the end of Summerslam. Daniel Bryan earned that title by beating him but Randy Orton swooped in and jacked it. Cena says that WWE superstars shouldn't be judged on their race, creed or looks they should be judged by their performance inside the ring.

Cena shows the camera his the buildup of fluid inside his elbow. He says that he wasn't fit for his WWE Championship match against Bryan but this isn't an excuse for his loss, the fact is that Daniel Bryan beat him clean and it was damn right unfair for Triple H to hand the belt to Randy Orton. Cena says that he can't hold up his surgery no longer. He's got to have his surgery and he'll be gone for the next 4-6 months. Cena says that he loves the crowd and he'll never give up on them despite their boos. But right now it's not his time it's time for the real WWE Champion, the man that the crowd want, the man that thw WWE Universe want and that guy is Daniel Bryan!

Daniel Bryan’s music hits and the crowd cheers as he makes his way down to the ring. Cena nods to Bryan and heads out of the ring to embark on his leave of absence. Bryan says that whatever happened last night to him and the people was injustice! He won the WWE Championship fair and square and he was ready to face Orton in another match but he was cheated after Triple H took him out with a Pedigree! Now because of him he's no longer the WWE Champion! Bryan says that Triple H used to be one of those rebels and he was the leader of DX! But now he's completely changed he's got some wacko haircut and he's completely different, he's an opposite to what he used to be! No one in this crowd, not him and not even his best friend Shawn Michaels has respect for Triple H! Bryan does not care if his actions will make them fire him then if anything they should ddo it. Bryan threatens to go back to wrestling in small arenas! He threatens to work in a company with a little IMPACT! And make them a company which WWE could never be!

Then before Bryan could say anything else Stephanie McMahon makes her way out. She says that no one wants to fire Bryan. She says that not everyone can be the face of the company. She says that Bryan isn't the A standard he's the B+ standard! Bryan says he's no longer a mid-carder he's won the United States Championship! Bryan begins to get pumped up as the crowd chant YES! Stephanie says that Bryan should go to Dr Shelby again and take some anger management classes. Bryan snatches Stephanie's microphone and throws it out. Stephanie grabs another one and says Bryan is getting a little too angry and needs to be removed from the buidling. Six security guards begin to storm out, Bryan grabs a steel chair and begins to hit the guards one by one. Before you know it all 6 guards are down and Bryan's the only one standing. Bryan turns around the other way and makes his way out from the back as the crowd chant YES!

As we return Cody Rhodes and Smackdown's Mr Money in the Bank Damien Sandow are engaged in their match. Both are still banged up from their match last night. Rhodes has the control at the start but loses it as Sandow takes control with a huge clothsline. But in the end after ducking from a big boot by Sandow in the corner, Rhodes got the win after a quick Cross Rhodes. Rhodes after the match celebrates his victory over Sandow once more before exiting.

As we return to Raw, Divas Champion AJ Lee and her friend Layla are skipping their way down the ramp for some Divas Tag Team action. After them Natalya makes her way out to a lot of cheers from the crowd. Then her partner for the match Kaitlyn makes her way out to a very warm welcome from the California crowd. The match is started with the team of AJ Lee and Layla in control. But after Natalya ducks a spin kick she quickly takes down Layla thus taking control. In the end Natalya had Layla set for Sharpshooter but AJ made the save and broke the submission hold. But Kaitlyn took care of AJ by taking her out with a huge Spear. Then Natalya go the win by making Layla tap out.

We return with Dolph Ziggler getting in the ring for his 3 on 1 handicap match against The Shield. ''Special Op'' hits as the Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins make their way out from the back entrance. Dolph Ziggler looks nervous as the 3 champions slide into the ring. Ziggler was put in this match due to his remarks on what Randy Orton and Triple H done at Summerslam. Ziggler gets the beating at the start but soon after he turns the tables and begins gaining momentum. When it looked like Ziggler could get the shock win after a Zig Zag to Seth Rollins, quickly from behind Roman Reigns destroyed him with a Spear for the victory. After the win Dean Ambrose started taunting Ziggler he started asking Ziggler to show off. He then knocks Ziggler's head to the side with his foot.

We return with some action as World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio is in some action against Yoshi Tatsu. Del Rio from the beginning proves too strong for Tatsu. After a couple of minutes he makes Tatsu tap out wildly with a Cross Arm Breaker. After the bell rang, Del Rio still had Tatsu locked up, the referee threatend to reverse the decision if Del Rio didn't let go. At the note he let's go and quickly grabs a microphone. Del Rio says that he wants to represent and be a hero for all Mexicans. He says that from this day on it's time for a new Alberto Del Rio! It's time for a more ruthless Alberto Del Rio and a certainly more dominant Alberto Del Rio! And he doesn't need Ricardo Rodriguez for that!

Tons of Funk and The Funkadactyls are dancing in the ring as we return from the break. Then out come The Prime Time Players to a suprisingly warm welcome from the crowd. The match is back and forth with both teams getting a chunk of control. In the end when it looked like Tons of Funk could steal the win with Brodus Clay set for a Splat! in the corner, Titus O'Neil quickly moved out of the way. Brodus Clay met the turnbuckles with impact and O'Neil took advantage of the situation and rolled up Clay for the victory.

Some pictures are shown from Summerslam showing Triple H ready to hit Bryan with a Pedigree and Randy Orton pinning Bryan. It ends with Orton lifting his title in the air. ''Awesome'' hits as The Miz makes his way out to a mixed reaction. ''Rebel Son'' hits as Wade Barrett comes out. Both have a good fight at the start Barrett gains control but soon Miz turns the tables. But Miz gets highly distracted when ''ChaChaLaLa'' hits. Fandango and Summer Rae start to dance on the ramp which clearly has caught Miz's attention. As Miz turns around he is hit with a huge Bull Hammer which gives Barrett the victory. Fandango then quickly leaps on the top rope and hits a Diving Leg Drop. Then Fandango and Summer Rae dance over the fallen body of The Miz.

We then go backstage where GM Brad Maddox is discussing the issue about Daniel Bryan with Stephanie McMahon. Maddox says that Bryan has been causing quite a lot of destruction backstage by destroying merchandise tables and destroying advertisements with Triple H on them. He says that he's sent guards to get Bryan but he's still got no news on whether they were succesfull catching him. Stephanie says not to worry as they've got guards surrounding the ring and an Enforcer during Orton's Championship Coronation!

''Cult Of Personality'' hits in the arena and as CM Punk hobbles down to the ring. Punk says that at Summerslam he had one hell of a match with Brock Lesnar and that match had a lot on stake for him! In that match he had to prove that he's The Best In The World and he's not afraid for Brock Lesnar! Punk says that in that match he had the match done he hit Lesnar with a GTS, he was about to win but Paul Heyman interferred. All that show's him is that Lesnar won cheap and in truth things between him and Lesnar aren't over! Punk then turns over and calls out a fan that is booing. He tells the fan that they can boo but he dares them to get into the ring, Punk is fired up as the crowd roar with approval. Punk says that if the fatso has balls then he should get in this ring otherwise he should stay on his seat like a bitch! Punk is fired up! Punk says he's pissed off from last night and if anything he doesn't want to deal with a fat member of the crowd in this ring! The person he wants in this ring is Brock Lesnar! He want's Lesnar once more!

Paul Heyman comes out on the ramp with Curtis Axel in Axel's hand is a steel chair. Punk says that he's sorry he hurt Heyman's arm instead he should've of ripped it off, kicked his face off and give him a hard kick in his balls! Punk says that no matter what Heyman throws at him may it be Brock Lesnar or Curtis Axel he'll get to him and make him pay! Punk says if Heyman has the guts he should get in this ring at this moment and fight him! The crowd is roaring with cheers! Heyman says that Punk shouldn't be saying sorry he should! He is sorry for what he's going to do to him right now! Heyman drops the microphone and tells Axel to get Punk and give him a beating he'll never forget! Axel quickly sprints down as Punk takes his off his hoodie! Axel tries to hit Punk with the chair but Punk ducks and hits a superkick causing the chair to smack on Axel's face. He then hits a quick running knee to the chair which Axel's hold causing once more Axel to be hit on the face. Axel drops his chair on the floor and blood is seen pouring out from his face. Punk then hits a GTS to Axel causing huge damage to Axel's face! The crowd cheers as Punk again looks to Heyman. Knowing that his client is destroyed, Heyman heads to the back to escape the wrath of Punk.

We cut to a promo where with Bray Wyatt. Wyatt is with Luke Harper and Erick Rowan who's wearing a lamb mask. Wyatt says that at Summerslam, Kane got the beating of his life! Kane learned never to mess with The Wyatt Family again! Wyatt says that he beat Kane in his own game! Rumours are going around that he's kidnapped Kane! Well that's true! But he assures us that Kane's alright and nothing will happen to him. Wyatt lifts up Kane's mask and begins to laugh sadistically.

Back to the arena Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H all make their way down to the ring. Vince says that Summerslam was a magnificent evening for not only them but this whole company!. The WWE finally has a Champion that they can be proud of. Vince is very pleased with the actions of his son-in-law HHH. And he and the whole of the crowd owe this man one! Vince and HHH embrace. The camera then shows the guards surrounded around the ring and the Enforcer, Wade Barrett stood looking quite pleased.. HHH says that what he did last night was for the greater good. Triple H did it for the fans. Triple H claims that he did it for the fans’ children and their children’s children. Triple H continues to say that he did it for all the boys in the back and for the McMahon dynasty. Triple H says that because of his very actions the WWE will have a very bright future!

Triple H says that he likes Bryan! He is a big fan of Bryan’s work. He put up a hell of a fight last night and deserved to win. But, Bryan cannot be the face of the company. The fans deserve better than that. He says he felt a little sorry for Daniel Bryan at Summerslam in truth he doesn’t even like Randy Orton all that much, him and Orton have a long history of bad blood. Triple H says once more that he done this very thing for the people and for this business. The crowd begins to chant for Bryan. Triple H says that he's going to clear the bad blood with Orton for this company. HHH then welcomes out the new face of the WWE and the new WWE Champion – Randy Orton.

Randy Orton’s music hits and he makes his way down the the entrance ramp. Orton makes his way down to the ring with his WWE Championship around his shoulder. Once inside Randy takes turn hugging the members of the McMahon family. Orton has a mic and begins to speak. Orton says that he told the audience he would cash in when they didn’t see it coming and that’s exactly what he did. Orton says that he's not known to be kind and all that but he's got to say thanks to Triple H! Randy says that he owes loads to HHH. Orton tells the fans to forget about Daniel Bryan as these very people standing in this ring are the face of WWE. Orton says he's heard Bryan's begin causing some havoc backstage and he was also on a mission to steal his belt! So he knows that Bryan is still in this building somewhere so if Bryan is a man, he should get out here now!

Daniel Bryan's music hits as he slowly makes his way out from the side of the stage. He makes his way down to the ring he shares a stare with Barrett before he steps in. HHH says Bryan deserves a little microphone time, he then hands him his microphone. Bryan drops the microphone on the floor and then spits on Triple H's face! Triple H looks pissed he wipes the spit of his face, Wade Barrett quickly drags Bryan out of the ring and begins to brawl with him. The two go crashing into the steel steps and Bryan quickly gets the upperhand on Barrett giving him a low blow. Orton drops his belt on the floor and calls Bryan to get in and fight him! Quickly Bryan slides in and the pair begin to brawl. The McMahons quickly step out of the ring but Triple H watches on. But Bryan takes control of the brawl he grabs Orton's title off the floor and looks to take him out but then Triple H quickly saves Orton, from behind he turns Bryan around boots him in the gut and hits him with a Pedigree. Triple H stares over the fallen body of Daniel Bryan as Raw goes off air!

Following last night's Raw episode from the Honda Center. WWE caught up with various superstars on what they had to say about tonight's panning out on the show.

Cody Rhodes: ''Damien not only have I beaten you once but twice! Surely that deserves a World Title shot? Beating Mr Money in the Bank twice that's quite an achievement!''

Dolph Ziggler: I'm not happy at what happened to me tonight! There is something called freedom of speech! And for speaking out on what happened at Summerslam, I get put in a 3-1 Handicap Match? Come on!

Alberto Del Rio: ''Out there in the ring tonight and yesterday at Summerslam, I showed the world why I really am the World Heavyweight Champion! I am the Pride and Honour of Mexico! I'm the great Alberto Del Rio!''

The Prime Time Players: Tonight the Prime Time Players just proved why we're the real deal! Darren tell em! That's right WWE Universe we're the real deal and soon we'll be the Tag Team Champions! Millions o' Dollars! Millions o' Dollars!....''

CM Punk: ''Paul Heyman... out there in the ring you sent me your very best! And even though I'm still busted up from my fight with Lesnar last night, I gave Axel a hell of a beating! Paul Heyman you can run but you can't hide!''

Triple H: ''Daniel Bryan you spat on my face out there in the ring, you humiliated me in my own yard! But you paid, you may of took out Barrett, you may of took out Orton but you can't take out The Game! And next week Daniel Bryan you'll pay a heavy price for your actions!''
