TNA will be spending $300,000 to run three shows at the famed Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City this coming June, July and August. This was described as an "insane" move by TNA to spend that much money. The $300,000 is for the building rental and production work.

One TNA source theorized that this TNA is trying to impress Spike TV, which is located in New York City, as the two sides still haven't reached a new agreement on their TV deal. It's believed that TNA negotiated the deal with Hammerstein and Spike wasn't involved so TNA is likely paying the full bill here.
Seems like an assload of money to spend for a company that has been struggling financially and having to cut back on lots of contracts..

What do they spend per show on average currently? It's a shit ton of money, but I'd like to see it compared.

I'm just curious if they going to be able to fill the place out. And how will those fans react to the product?

But mannnnn that is a lot of money.

If it's for TV then great, i'm a big fan of the Hammerstein Ballroom, but if it's just for house shows then they're idiots.

Didn't even think about it not being for TV. If it isn't then yes they are idiots. But knowing TNA their probably gonna tape the three shows in June, July and August and not show them on TV until like January

Could've kept AJ and Sting for a year with that money, and seeing as it says "production costs" I'm guessing it's for a taping. Doubt Spike even re-ups their TV contract, noone wants to showcase a dying company.

Don't know why they want a snark crowd, they would just shit all over the product the whole time.
