this is something me and my family members were speaking on. My cousin will not date a guy "if she does not feel he can afford a phone" which is what I call "If it's prepaid when you try to approach her you not getting laid"

but anyway do people really put that much emphasis on the type of phones people carry ?

I really hope people don't judge me by my phone. I'm still a member of the flip phone crew, on my family plan. But I guess someone's phone is a quick way of telling whether they have money, I guess. It could also just mean they have a mommy and daddy that like them a lot.

The problem with that logic is that some people keep an old phone, just like they would an old car or old anything because they get used to it. I know a guy who still had the old black Motorola flip phone despite having cash. He simply says "why should I change what ain't broke?"

It is foolish on her part because some people won't waste money on new stuff as long as their old stuff is functional (ps2 people that won't buy a ps3), and there also people who are broke and have no savings because they constantly buy new things needlessly to impress others.

Me personally I don't talk on the phone longer than like 3 minutes anyways. So why am I gonna pay a 60 plus dollar bill every month for something I'm gonna hardly use.

I foot that bill solely because I get bored easily at school. I want to go on the internet, play games, listen to music, and all that stuff. Plus I can hook it up in the car.

I actually have 2 phones. One is a Iphone and the other a small prepaid so I don't have to worry about wasting minutes
