NeXus lost to Team WWE at SummerSlam and on the next nights RAW they removed Darren Young from their group. Skip Sheffield then legitimately injured himself at a house show so they are down to five members.

Barrett has a title shot at Night of Champions but what will the other four be doing in the coming months.

What do you think that Nexus as a group will be doing in the coming months?

This has been the hottest angle in WWE this year, and they have almost killed it by having Nexus lose at Summerslam, even if it was on a fluke for the shake of the angle the heels needed to win. While it would be too rushed to have Barrett win the title at NOC, they can improve his stutus by keeping him strong in the match.

Maybe with the others they can have them target certain championships and look to make names for themselfs at the hands of the wrestlers holding those titles, while strongly promoting the Nexus name.

I think that the fact they are down to five members will actually help the angle move forward. Before with seven members there wasn't many options for angles involving the group, either a tag team match or a beatdown angle. Now with five you can have Barrett focusing on the WWE title, which he shouldn't win at NOC. It is too soon for him but it is essential that he is not the one pinned first. Then with the other four you can have two work as a tag team and the other two in singles matches. It is a much more even spread and now with them being allowed to have title matches they could fill a card with them going for each title.
