The do a similar thing on every foreign tour where they give some local wrestlers try-outs.
Hopefully Averno gets a contract, it would be pretty dissapointing for him if he was ignored by them after it seemed like he was a sure thing to come to WWE.
I missed that when I first read the article. WWE must have wanted to see how they can sell and you can't really see that without a mask. Plus when/if WWE bring them across there is probably a 50/50 chance they will be masked. They may go the Sin Cara route with them or they may go the Del Rio route.
These were all guys from CMLL who tried out for WWE during the recent tour. Hopefully WWE pick up a few more quality wrestlers because the Latino market is huge now and they found the jackpot in Del Rio and to a lesser extent Sin Cara. WWE need more quality faces and heels that can get over so...
