He was released from Zuffa is what I heard, I don't think we'll see him in the UFC.

As soon as I heard he was going to fight on a World Glory card in October though I had a feeling that something like this was going to happen. Don't fuck with Uncle Dana.

Overeem can't do any other shit that isn't approved by Zuffa. Dumbfuck knew this and decided to go kickbox anyway. His fault and a waste of time. He never really was into MMA and should be trying to keep DREAM and K1 alive from now on.

Those two places ... shoot. He might as well retire altogether. I just wanted to see him get pummeled in UFC. A guy can dream right?

Sergei will eventually find him and knock him out again.

That or he actually does try to box a Klitschko and takes a beating.

Personally I see him having major trouble with JDS, Cain, and I said it, Frank Mir. It would be sorta interesting to see him in the UFC. I honestly just don't like the guy's personality and question some of the decisions he makes and the things he says.

Didn't have the right attitude and must not have realised that with Zuffa now owning Strikeforce he has to listen to them. This will have screwed his chances of getting into the UFC but he seems content to work elsewhere. Maybe in a year or two he will realise that it was a bad decision.

Overeem's brother, Marloes Coenen, and Jon Olav Einemo were all released from Zuffa today too.

Fedor cut today too.

Got to say, the only one I care about is Overeem.

Reading Dana White's explanation I don't mind that they cut all those guys. They wanted UFC to pay the management who would then pay the fighters rather than it normally being the other way around. Sounds like they were trying to hustle in and do the old Global M-1 deal where they try to have a say in how things are run.

No real surprise that Fedor was cut, three loses in a row and the most recent to a 185 pounder. Can't really come back from that plus he and his management would most likely have been hard to deal with.
