I know it's a bit nerdy (but I am quite the nerd) I thought maybe we could pick a (wrestling) book, read a few chapters at a time and do an ongoing live review with discussion.
I thought it might be more enjoyable that way getting a few people involved.

Likewise. Wouldn't mind reading a few more wrestling books...

Possible interest but I'm kinda broke and have read about 50 wrestling books already so it would depend on the book for me also. Seems like a good idea though.

I already have a dozen books I am reading at the moment, if not more, on a variety of subjects. I might be able to do it, depending on the availability of wrestling books at my local library, and time constraints. Been a very busy week for me. We shall see.:whoo:

Like others it would depend on the book but I would be interested in this.

Well we could always start off with a book everyone has, and everyone should agree on the book of course. I've done this before and we used to break it up over a month or longer so it didn't take up too much time during everyone's week.
I was thinking of doing some ongoing live reviews of books as well, I work a long week and do my bookselling part-time on top so I don't get as much time as I'd like to do reviews. Chapter by chapter reviews spread out are a lot easier.

Its a maybe for me also, love the idea, but sometimes when you are already reading something else it is difficult to read another book also. The funny thing is I still have not read a wrestling book, its maybe because I am into fiction reading, and have never quite got into the idea of wrestlers as writers, although I am sure there are many good stories to tell.

Anyway I have Mick Foley's first book Have A Nice Day, so if everyone agreed, I would be up for doing that.

Have a Nice Day is a great book to start with if you've never read a wrestling bio, it's fantastic, and it really defined the whole genre. That's probably fairly easy to get if you don't have a copy either.

I have a copy of Have a Nice Day and I haven't read it for a long time so I am happy to start with that one.

I did read a bit of Goldberg's book was, but never really got into that. I guess that was a bit of cheap cash in as he was hot at the time, where as Foley's was justified as he had a full length career with plenty of great stories to tell.

? I used to own a copy of Goldberg's book and you are right most of the time he talks about not wanting to do wrestling and that it was basically about the money. I don't think I have it anymore I think I gave it away to the library year's ago in one of my book clearouts.
