Current Champions

Florida Heavyweight Championship - Bo Rotunda
Florida Tag Team Championship - Calvin Raines & Big E Langston
FCW 15 Championship - Seth Rollins
FCW Divas Championship - Aksana
Queen of FCW - Aksana
Since FCW is the developmental territory for WWE I thought that it deserved it's own thread in the WWE section. I know that a couple of members follow FCW and keep track of changes there.

Looking at the current champions it is interesting to note that Bo Rotunda is the first two time Florida Heavyweight Champion. He won the title from Lucky Cannon on a show that aired this week although it was taped over a month ago. Bo Rotunda is IRS's son and is only 21 so I am sure we will see him on WWE tv within the next couple of years. Will this mean that Lucky Cannon is moved to the main roster, is released or just remains in FCW?

With the tag team championship I have no idea who either guy is so I can't comment that much on them.

For the FCW 15 Championship the concept is that the title is defended in 15 minute iron man matches. It is a great idea since it means that you are guaranteed to see a fifteen minute match on the show. The champion Seth Rollins is better known as Tyler Black from ROH. He is going to be on the main roster within the next twelve months in my opinion. I really like this title concept and think that it could have been used on Superstars to give that show something special.

It is odd that there are two divas title but one is just a title whereas Queen of FCW wins a crown. Not much else I can say about that.

Back when OVW was the developmental territory for WWE I read the show results weekly and followed it very closely. With FCW I haven't because the website used to be very poor but it has improved a lot recently, now you can see profiles on every wrestler.

So what are your thoughts on FCW, the champions and the wrestlers? Who do you think will make it to the main roster next? What do you think about the FCW 15 Championship?

Well Bo Rotundo's first reign as FCW Champion actually lasted less than a day, so this reign is really his first stint as champion, although you are correct about him being the only 2-time FCW Champion in history. The fact he's only 21 is awesome, seems to me he should have a great future considering the FCW Championship is a great indicator of just how successful you can become if you hold that belt. Here are the past champions (starts with the most recent past champions):

Lucky Cannon
Bo Rotundo
Mason Ryan
Alex Riley
Justin Gabriel
Heath Slater
Tyler Reks
Drew McIntyre
Michael McGillicutty
Eric Escobar
Sheamus
Jack Swagger

Clearly, Eric Escobar and Tyler Reks are the two there that have had unsuccessful careers, but the majority points towards some sort of success. Other than Mason Ryan, Alex Riley (who are both held in high regard) and Lucky Cannon, every single past champion that's on RAW or Smackdown has won some form of WWE gold, so Bo Rotundo could be in for a bright future if he's already their developmental territories main guy.

To me, Big E Langston looks like one of those massive guys that has absolutely no charisma and can't talk on the mic to save his life. With Calvain Raines, he looks like he could be a decent character. I just get the feeling he's french for some reason.

But anyway, I look at the FCW roster every now and then and there are alot of guys that look as if they have something to offer. Out of the 4 released recently, 3 of them looked as if they wouldn't stand a chance at getting on the WWE roster, and sure enough they're now gone. Wes Brisco has apparently considered quite decent, so his release is a little strange.

I forgot about the double change where Bo Rotunda dropped the title right after he won it from Mason Ryan. It is an impressive roll call when you look at the former champions. Out of the first eight champions for only two to be unsuccessful that is an impressive conversion rate. Only two have won a world title but I see a few of the others winning the big title in the future. Plus many haven't been on the main roster for long and so their futures look promising. One thing about Bo Rotunda is he has a really weird look, doesn't look anything like his father or brother.

Big E Langston does look the silent type and you wouldn't want to give him the mic. Calvin Raines looks impressive but it seems to me like an odd combination.

Looking at the rest of the roster there are a few that look a long way away from the main roster but there are quite a few that look very promising. If the current season of NXT ever finishes and there is another one they have plenty of options for rookies.
