Former UFC light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin was interviewed by Tatame after the UFC 134 press conference late last week, and spoke about his fight against Mauricio "Shogun" Rua on that card. Griffin; who has fought once before in Brazil just prior to his stint on the Ultimate Fighter (he knocked out Edson Paredao in 64 seconds at Heat FC 2 in late 2003), says he's changed things up a bit and wants to be a little lighter and quicker to face Shogun, and wasn't worried about the future after this fight. Does he think he'll get a title shot with a win at UFC 134?

I don't know, I don't care. I just want to beat him (Shogun), you know?

The reporter pressed a bit and asked about Jon Jones:

I don't think about Jon Jones! Just Shogun.

After brushing off a question about Shogun's motivation for this fight, he was asked about his own motivation:

I just need to prove that the first fight wasn't a fluke. I need to prove that I'm still relevant.

As usual, Forrest isn't exactly offering up paragraph-sized responses and is a bit ornery with the guy asking the questions. I guess we should expect that from Griffin by now though. You can catch the whole interview after the jump, where he also discusses training and fighting in Brazil and how he thought the sport was bigger than it is there.
