Heat-Mavs should be a pretty damn good finals. Pulling for the Heat only because of LeBron.

Well the finals are set. I just gotta say the Miami Heat has played some of the best defense I've ever seen in my life. It seems like the chemistry is down, and at the right time, since it's the finals now. Rooting for the Heat to pull it off.

Don't understand the hate they get and I think it's only doing good for the Heat not making them worse. Plus I'm a huge LBJ fan, being a players fan that I am.

I was following that game on the net and I couldn't believe that Chicago didn't win that game after they were up by twelve points with three and a half minutes left. Incredible performance by Miami to close Chicagos offensive down and to hit their shots at the critical time. LeBron was awesome in the final quarter and Deng and Rose needed more support in that game.

The final series should be fantastic. Dallas and Miami have both been dominant so far and it is tough to split the teams. I have to go with the Heat though and I think that LeBron will show that he made the right move in changing teams. I wouldn't mind Nowitski getting a championship ring though because he has been one of the best players in the past decade.

Personally I think Lebron is going to shut down Dirk tonight. It will be interesting to see.

Also you can guard Dwade all you want but when he's got guys in Chris Bosh and King James to pass the ball to your in trouble.

Game 2 should be interesting. Let it be said that Chicago won game 1 and still lost the series, this is not the end for sure. The Heat are playing with good defense, though, I got to say that.

Man that Game 1 was a war. Not only Miami but Dallas were playing very good lockdown defense and the scores were low early since both teams were making big stops.

But the Heat did what they've been doing best all postseason, executing in the fourth quarter, and unfortunately the Mavs couldn't do what they needed to do in the fourth, which was make big stops and then score.

I am sorry for not posting more about this. I have been watching so much playoff basketball but haven't got much of a chance to post in here. I am a die hard Heat fan for past eleven years and they have been awesome. LeBron has played like everyone thought he would in Cleveland by hitting clutch shots and really controlling the game. Wade finally bounced back after a rough series against Chicago. He was huge last night and it brought smile to my face since he is my favorite player all time. Bosh is played consistent despite the rough shooting last night. He was an absolute beast last series and showed Miami was right in picking him over Boozer. Chalmers has been solid and Mike Miller has taken over Jimmy Jones spot as the top shooter off the bench. It's also great to see Haslem back, because he is a true Heat veteran and a really emotional leader. He is one of my favorites all time and seeing him compete out there is great considering I thought his season may have been over. I am really happy for the Heat and confident they are going to take it all. Dallas' bench is really going to need to step up if they want to win. They can't have Terry, Barea, and Peja play poorly like they did last night.

Well last night was... weird. I guess Miami stopped trying with 6 minutes ago? They threw that game away, and they were doing generally well before that last 6 min. Now they need to win at least once in Dallas to bring it back to Miami. It will be hard.

I couldn't believe that Miami lost Game 2. They had it in the bag but just couldn't finish it. Like you said it will be hard for them now as they will have to win a game in Dallas.

I can't believe they lost that game. It took me about a day to get over it. I was at the bar getting so excited after Wade hit that three and I was like finally I can take a relaxing piss break. I come back and they are only up seven. The issue with Miami is that LeBron simply dribbles too much. I have started to notice that it's fourteen on shot clock then he does useless dribbling till shot clock hits four then takes a stupid long jumper. It doesn't help that Bosh has been awful this series. At least Bibby seems to have gotten his shot back and Dwayne Wade is back to being Dwayne Wade. They have no momentum and tonight I feel is a must win to re boost confidence. Hooters better be ready for my happiness or rage.

Well it was a grind but they finally took it. If Miami would have lost that, I would have ranted. Both teams didn't really play well but Miami offered more to the table than Dallas. Other than Dirk and Jason Terry's first half performance, did anyone on Dallas play well? Marion took 12 shots to get ten points so he played poor. Kidd played a good game, but seemed to fade. Barea has really struggled with his poor shot selection and not slowing things down. As for Miami, Chris Bosh somehow had 18 points which shocked me. It was a pretty ugly 18 points but the guy scored the game winner so he's a hero in my book for now. LeBron was pretty poor, although the refs were on his case a lot. I thought they were really favoring Dallas with some pretty weak loose ball fouls. Luckily, Dwayne Wade is back to being Dwayne Wade and had another monster game. LeBron has been the playoffs MVP, but right now in just the finals it's D-Wade that looks to be taking home MVP. Mario Chalmers continues which is great to see. If anyone read my book, there is a small story where Chalmers won me eighty dollars in a college basketball pool when they beat Memphis. He has been my boy since and I was so happy that the Heat got him. He hit four huge threes last night and it was a good performance. Otherwise, the Heat mostly struggled other than Wade and Chalmers. The half time show was awesome with Mike Miller's playoff story with his new baby struggling to live but how Mike gives back to the hospital. The game was mostly giving me a headache, but still happy they got the win. If Miami takes one more in Dallas, no way they are losing this series.

Well the name calling has begun. It was all but a matter of time before Dirk was going to get upset with the lack of production from teammates. Out of all people called out it was Jason Terry. Terry has been poor in the 4th quarter, but you would think Dirk would call out the likes of Barea and Peja who have been great in playoffs to wake up from awful performances in the finals. Instead Dirk calls out the guy who has been their 2nd leading scorer. I wonder how this goes over, all I know is if Dallas loses tomorrow night then I will be planning party celebrations.

I almost shit myself that game, it was close. Bosh had a very ugly 18 pts like you said Big Red. He did have that game winning shot though so big ups to him there. Lebron didn't have the best game, but D-Wade was great last game. Mario Chalmers was hot last night and he was definitely a big piece of that win last night.

Extremely excited for tomorrow. I doubted him but Dirk will be hard to guard. But so far these finals for the Mavs have been Dirk. Hell even Dirk himself said other players like Jason Terry and Jason Kidd need to come up big which they really haven't. JJ hasn't been doing too well either.

This is a series where if one big mistake is made it can easily cost a game so both teams need to be careful, but they've both been playing good defense the entire finals.

Some people say Dirk and Jkidd deserve a ring which they do, but this is my boy Lebron's year. I'm a huge James fan and I would so happy if he won this year with the Heat. I just recently saw his Documentary with his high school team and I respect him for what he had to go through as a kid. That being said D Wade will probably be the finals MVP and I'll be glad that the Heat win. I also like Chris Bosh, the dude's a fucking dinosaur ffs. Half Dinosaur/Half Human is amazing.

LOL at the Bosh part. He's a dinosaur some people think he should stay in Toronto because of that but whatever if he continues to hit game winning shots I am happy. I just wish he can rediscover his form from the Chicago series. People forget but Bosh averaged 24 points and eight rebounds last series shooting sixty percent. He was an absolute animal last series especially in games 3 and 4. Usually Bosh does play better at home, which doesn't bode well but I expect him to step it up more in all four quarters of the game. Tonight just feels like a night LeBron is going to explode. I can see him taking charge tonight, but you never know. I respect your a fan of his Dademo and that you haven't left him after all the decision. I was never crazy on the LeBron bandwagon simply because he was the same year as Wade and he always annoyed me. I didn't like how people would say he's the best player because he has yet to win a title. He choked those two years when he really could have done it, while Wade gets dirt because his team was going through a rebuilding stage.

I am happy that comparison and debate is all over with them uniting. They are both on the same team and it's my favorite team since Alonzo Morning was holding it down. I am really happy that he is on the Heat and I don't care if your Satan himself, if your going to make my favorite team a championship contender come on down. If it meant getting rid of one of my favorite players all time in Michael Beasley for a title then so be it. So I am now a huge LeBron fan but before he was on Miami I was a complete hater. That being said, I see Miami winning tonight. I thought Dallas' title hopes were shot when Caron Butler got hurt. He was their true number two scorer and really fantastic player. He was the reason why people thought Portland would beat them in first round. Instead Dallas has made it all the way to the finals. But until guys like Barea and Peja start playing like they did in the first three rounds, Dallas won't win. Basketball is a team sport, not one crazy German owning everyone. With the way Miami plays and how diverse the team is with scoring, Dallas is going to have a tough time. If Miami continues to stay focused, their is no reason to think they can't win the series in Game 5. I still think they slip up a bit in Game 5 because Dallas will play with their season on the line and the home crowd will get them going but when it's time for Game 6 it's game over. But tonight will be the statement that Miami is taking it home and they will beat Dallas.

As I type this, 10:14 are remaining in the 4th quarter of Game 5 of the Finals. The Mavs are up 90-83, the series currently tied at 2 games apiece.

These Finals have been the most evenly-matched, highly contested finals I might have ever seen. I've been a huge Mavs fan since well before Cuban brought respect to the franchise, and I may be somewhat biased. As a Mavs fan, I'd LOVE for this to be a Mavs blowout, and another sweep like the Lakers, but from a basketball fan's perspective, this series showcases everything that is great about professional playoff basketball.

Has anyone been watching? Thoughts on the series thus far?
