Another fucking game that was decided by the umpires. It is getting ridiculous now. The same umps as last week and we once again got screwed by them especially in the final term. Petrie is raped up forward and takes a mark yet the free is against him. Then McGlynn gets touched on the chest and it is a free. The umpires must have something against us as we have been screwed out of many matches this season almost the same amount as Sydney have been gifted this season. AFL really don't want the Sydney team to look weak with the new team coming in. AFL must hate North for not going to Gold Coast.

North sent a please explain after last week but that changed nothing. Hopefully Scott calls out the umpires in the press conference and we just pay the fine. It is just killing our season.

Our kicking for goal was shit as well but we would have gotten over the line even with that shit conversion rate if it wasn't for those in yellow. This is soul destroying.

West Coast, Richmond, Brisbane and now Sydney are games that we should have won.

Ugh damn Sydney. I tipped North, sounded like a close contest from the beginning however. Tonight I'll watch Geelong flog The Suns.

What kills me is that North aren't terrible, I would be fine with it if North were shit and were getting thumped by ten goals each week. But North are in almost every game (definitely not the Collingwood game) but just can't finish and it is so frustrating to watch.

West Coast 4 points
Richmond 9 points
Brisbane 14 points
Sydney 1 point

All games we should have won and games where North faded in the last quarter. Our goal kicking is costing North as well. I guess it is promising that we are in so many matches and that only a small improvement would have given us six wins and had us right in the top eight. Adelaide next week should be an easy win but I have thought that so many times this year and it has never happened.

Saints looked good today and Fremantle again proved that without Sandilands they are nothing.

I am hoping that Gold Coast can be competitive against Geelong, anything less than ten goals would be a good performance.

Gold Coast were leading at half time by 11 points.

After half time Gold Coast scored 1.5 and Geelong scored 13.10. Geelong won by 66 points so disappointing display by Gold Coast in that second half.

You're joking right? I was at the game yesterday, sitting right up the back row where you can see the whole ground perfectly, and there is no way in hell that game was decided by the umpires. More than two moments decided the outcome of that game, those two were just highlighted because they game towards the end of the game. The thing is, if you take out the first 15 mins and the last 15 mins of the entire game, the kangaroos would have kicked two goals in three quarters of footy. We completely dominated the rest of the game, and it should never have been that close.

As far as the umpires gifting us games, that has to be a joke. We in the past five years have been one of the lowest for free kicks for, and one of the most for free kicks against, and its about time some people actually take into account what happens throughout the whole game rather than just the last few minutes. I'm really pissed off reading this, takes a shallow tone on what I thought was a good game, a game I went to see with a diehard Kangaroos supporter who had no complaints at all.

Man I suck at footy tips, past 4 weeks they've been 2, 4, 3 and this week 3. I'm 2nd last in the local pub and my online tipping with my family and friends. DAMN!

Dogs are seriously shit, North will beat them.

Yes more than two moments decide a game but it has happened so often this season when the umpires put away the whistle in the final quarter and don't call clear free kicks that they call in the first three quarters. On On The Couch Paul Roos put up a good graphic the other week showing that the most frees are paid in the first quarter and then each quarter after that the number of frees paid decrease. North have just had no luck with the umpires this season, the Black free kick last week topped it off, and I am just sick of seeing things like this. Petrie can't buy a free kick this season whereas other key forwards like Nick Riewoldt and Adam Goodes so often get those same frees. This year I think it has been different for Sydney, they have had the rub with the umpires a few games. Maybe that is things just evening out from previous seasons but it is just something that stands out.

If North could just kick straight and improve our kicking efficiency that would help as well.

This season overall a lot more games have been decided by some poor umpiring decisions, whether it be goal, field or boundary umpires, then any recent season. The amount of clear shocking mistakes are just getting too many and all that happens is the AFL apologises to the team and then the umpire is dropped. I think that full time umpires would be a good idea and less ridiculous rule changes (like the current advantage rule which doesn't work).

North have Adelaide, Gold Coast and Essendon next and we should win two of those but we are so inconsistent you never know what will happen.

Western Bulldogs have surprised me since I thought they would be top four again this season. Do you think that the Dogs will start looking at next year now or do you think you can still push for finals this seasn?

In another game today Brisbane looked like a different team with Jonathon Brown back in the team. Brisbane beat Adelaide in Adelaide by 40 points. Strange season and if Brown can stay fit then Brisbane should be able to climb up a few positions on the ladder. Not sure where the Crows go from here, they need to get some good ball winners like Symes and Vince back in the team. They also need to go with either Walker or Tippett at full forward with McKernan at CHF. Walker and Tippett don't work well together in the forward line.

Dogs are going to collapse this year and next. With a few players leaving and Hall not going to be under contract, we could sign Fevola but that'd be stupid because he won't be performing at his best (Being extremely honest here). Even though he does well in VGL and local, still he won;t be good when he returns.

Dogs are just going back a few years ago where they struggled around 7-13th mark.

I don't think any AFL team should touch Fevola, he carries too much baggage and I think that he would be past his best.

The Dogs have been unlucky where their big stars have all left around the same time. A key forward would be a good trade target if there are any on the market at the end of the year, maybe Taylor Walker if GWS don't take him.

North need to get rid of a few older players and a few fringe players who aren't going to play a role in the next premiership. We have quite a few average players getting regular games and I would rather seeing the younger players getting more games.

Lake will probably go at the end of the year as well; Higgins might be traded. So many players this year aren't performing and our young pups seems to be doing alright but we need a star player in the mid or forward

It is a shame that Cooney has been injured for most of this season and for a fair bit of last season. He hasn't been able to get back to his best due to constant issues with his knees. Cooney and Griffen running through the middle is a great combination if they are both fit.

To this day I still wonder how on earth did he ever win a Brownlow; he isn't even that good.

He had a very good season that year and the most important thing was there were no other team-mates taking votes away from him. That is how Judd was the clear winner last year, no-one else at Carlton took enough votes away from him whereas Swan and Pendlebury cost each other the medal.

Speaking of Brownlow; who is your choice? I'm going Judd again.
