This is old news but hasn't been posted yet so if you haven't heard Ashton Kutcher is the chosen one to replace Charlie Sheen on the show Two and a Half Men. I am not a fan of the show or of Kutcher but I can see why they would choose him. He is a similar kind of character but a younger version of it. He has a big following on Twitter so I assume that would translate to some ratings for the show. Not sure how they will write him into it since from what I have read the show takes place with the two other main characters staying with Charlie's character in his house.

Your thoughts on Ashton as the replacement? How will it impact the show?

Would make no difference to me, I didn't like the show when Sheen was on it, I won't be watching Kutcher on it either. When a sitcom has a laugh track, it's a sign that it isn't a good show.

I was never a fan either but it is one of the most popular shows in the US, regularly in the top 20 rated shows for the year, and it is popular worldwide. There are plently of fans out there and their reaction to this big change would be interesting.

How long will the show survive with a new lead?

As soon as new characters are introduced in long running shows, it usually signifies the jumping of the shark.

I hate the show, but will conceed that this move makes sense, not than I am a Kutcher fan, but as a younger version of Sheen I can see the sense, weather it will prove a raters puller, I don't know.

The only thing is I thought they were axing the show anyway due to the whole Sheen ordeal.

I don't even know what demographic Kutcher appeals to. let alone know why the guy was famous to begin with.

Spin City aside, I don't recall other shows survivng long after a main character is replaced with another.
