I thought things would pick up around here with a UFC this weekend instead of a naked Bellator event. Not really. In fact, most people seemed more interested in UFC 131, despite that show having a pedestrian show under Junior dos Santos and Shane Carwin. Just goes to show you that a solid UFC show doesn't generate much interest without a killer main event to draw people in.
- Jose Aldo pulled out of UFC 133 due to the medical suspension he received from the Ontario commission following UFC 129. Chad Mendes is now fighting Rani Yahya.
- Jon Jones told a New York radio station that he expects to fight Lyoto Machida or Quinton Jackson in October. The Duckometer is now registering an 8.
- The Department of Justice seized 10 more gambling domains. It's too bad I can't make any more jokes about how they should have better things to do, like find bin Laden.
- Quinton Jackson appeared on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson last night, appearing much more jovial than his MMA media rounds last week.
- Head Kick Legend has an interview with Mark Miller, who is fighting for the first time since having aortic valve replacement. I'm not sure what's the big deal about nipple surgery.
