Hey, guys. What’s poppin’ out there in ReaderLand? Today, instead of doing the usual Running Diary of Raw, I’ve decided to go back to my original format of reviewing Raw. It has came to my attention that a few peeps don’t like the format for Running Diary, so I guess we’ll just see what happens with this one. I know a whole lot of you praised me for the RD’s so I might just bring them back next week, but that’ll be up to you, I guess. Up to you as in at the end of this column I will post a link to a Poll Daddy poll where you can vote on either the Running Diary format, or the Review format. Whichever one garners more votes will be the one I break out again next week. For now, let’s get on with the column, baby!

You know, that wasn’t a bad choice in letting the intrigue mount as fans ponder who will take on John Cena. My personal choice would be Batista, but that’s just wishful thinking. Nevertheless, that was a very good segment between Cena and Miz to open the show. I had some worries coming in that it would just end up being boring and not really move towards anything. The forward lean in it was awesome, though. I’m still not going to order the event because I know for a fact that John’s not going to lose that title. In fact, is anybody going to order Over the Limit this Sunday? Let me know, I’m interested if anybody really is.

I’ll admit, I am very surprised that CM Punk came out on top in that match. It would have surprised me just as much to see Kofi actually get a win over a big name, but it just seems odd that WWE creative broke their streak of burying Punk while he’s on his way out. Dare I say that he had a very good short match with Kofi there? No doubt an early contender for Match of the Night honors. The thing that gets me is the promo afterwards. He kind of signaled that he is here to stay. You all know I’d love that. You all also know that I’d love if if New Nexus does become a dominating brand again.

It’s amazing to see how far along Kelly Kelly has came in her career. She use to suck ass, and I mean suck ass in every sense of the statement “sucking assâ€. It’s pretty clear to as day that the WWE wants to push Kelly as the next Trish Stratus. If she keeps on improving like she has, then there’s no reason she can’t be. Hell, she might get built up as the diva that finally takes down Kharma some six months down the road. Who knows.

Kharma vs. the Bella Twins for the Diva’s Championship is going to be a last minute addition to the Over the Limit card. That’s a damn shame, too. I know a lot of people might just order this Sunday’s PPV if they knew that it would be Kharma’s first televised match. They’ve really go to quick not announcing all the matches beforehand. It’s not only dumb business wise, but it’s dumb because it makes PPVs look more and more like a regular edition of Raw.

I can’t describe how amazed I am with Truth’s heel turn. It is in no other words, but awesome! The only thing I see wrong with the his involved storylines right now is where it leaves Alberto del Rio. Essentially, the top rising prospect in the WWE is going to be left off of the PPV card. I wish they would have just inserted him in with Mysterio and Truth and make it a three-way number one contenders match. Oh well.

I’ve grown tired of the Lawler-Cole feud much like everybody else has. But let me say this much. That was by far the most interesting segment of the whole thing. Not only did Jack Swagger walk out, but he also walked out to cheers. All he had to do was walk out on Cole and he got cheers. That’s amazing. Just imagine the reaction he’s going to receive when he most likely comes out this Sunday to kick Coles ass. Just imagine it!

There’s no doubt that Kane and the Big Show are in the final leg of their respective careers. There’s no doubt that holding onto those World Tag Team Titles together is a wonderful thing for them to be doing. I don’t think they’ll be giving them up to New Nexus, or to anyone anytime soon, but when they do, that certain tag team is going to get a nice little rub from the victory.

Inserting Jack Swagger into this match kind of acts as a swerve to the people who thought Jack would turn on Cole this Sunday. It also made the earlier segment where Jack DIDN’T turn on him make more sense. The match made Jack look super strong, and if/when he turns on Cole this Sunday, it should make him automatically the number 2 face. Maybe even expect a nice feud with del Rio for next month, if not an inclusion on some kind of Fatal 4-Way for the WWE Championship.

The post match beat downs and promos were pretty good. I’m still sold on Miz being much better than Cena, but we all know he isn’t going to get the upper-hand and walk out of OtL with any strap at all. Although, common wrestling knowledge tells you that the guy with the upper-hand on the last episode before the PPV is going to lose. Wonder what that means for our future?…

The Top Five

5. Bella’s turning me on…
4. Punk and the New Nexus looking strong…for this week, at least
3. Miz looking AWESOMEEE!!!!
2. Kelly Kelly’s double chin
1. Jack Swagger becoming serious main eventer

The Crystal Ball

Looking into next week, we should have plenty of more good action. Next weeks edition should be much better in that we’ll see what’s next for Miz, and who will challenge Cena for the WWE Championship next. Hard to say now, though, since we have the PPV a mere 5 days away.

Report Card

Tonight’s episode was chocked full of good action and compelling storylines. It’s a decent, albeit late, build-up to Sunday. I still predict that we will see some of the lowest buyrates in the history Sunday, but nevertheless, tonight’s episode garners a B from me. Just a good show.

Alright, that does it for this review! Remember to let me know what you guys are thinking of this weeks episode. What letter grade would you give it? Are you going to order this Sunday’s Over the Limit? If so, what are the real selling points for you? If not, what is really turning you off from the PPV? Let me know via comments, or e-mail!

Also, please follow the link I’m going to provide you and vote on which format you like better. The Running Diary, or the format I showed off right here. It’s much appreciated, and in the end, your just voting for the column you’d rather see next week. It’s up to you folks! As always, I’m Spartacus, and I’m bidding you farewell from Wales! Goodbye!
